Fourteen children under the Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA) had their wish list granted by the Lions Club of Bandar Seri Begawan. The presentation ceremony was held on Saturday at YASKA Centre. In addition to their contribution, the Lions Club made a BND500 cash donation, while the Leo’s Club of the International School Brunei donated BND250.
Meanwhile, co-founder of BUGTAW Sienna Holmes donated books for the young cancer patients in the ward. BUGTAW is dedicated to nurturing a love for reading by providing preloved books to children and youth throughout Brunei.
Lions Club President Maya Ramchandani extended her gratitude to YASKA President Tsara’ Nawwarah binti Abdullah Chen for giving the club an opportunity to grant the children’s wishes. She acknowledged the club’s commitment in actively participating in community work and supporting the cause championed by YASKA. Their joint efforts aimed to raise awareness on childhood cancer and support children fighting the battle, as well as those who have triumphed over it. – Fadley Faisal
