Puteh Humairah won the heart of judges and was crowned the champion of the Tausyeh and Nasyid Competition, organised by Kampong Lambak Youth Association (PERBEKAL), recently at the Silaturahim Hall of the Youth Centre in the capital.
Meanwhile, second place went to Soleha while in third and fourth places were Asy Syuhada and Al-Qayyum.
PERBEKAL President Pengiran Haji Nordin bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the guest of honour, presented the prizes to the winners. The event was organised in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 77th birthday celebration and the Ilal Hijrah 1445.
Chairman of the organising committee Pengiran Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Tahir said the members need to be more engaged in beneficial activities to raise the profile of the association.
Also present were Village Head of Kampong Lambak ‘B’ Pengiran Jofri bin Pengiran Haji Zaidi, PERBEKAL Deputy President Pengiran Mahari bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Tahir, PERBEKAL Vice President I Siti Seriana binti Haji Mohd Yusof in her capacity as the Chairperson for Women’s Bureau and Acting Village Head of RPN Kampong Mentiri Haji Abu Bakar bin Haji Pungut.
A Doa Selamat and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by PERBEKAL Deputy Head of the Religious Bureau Sufian bin Haji Masri. – Lyna Mohamad
