Ahmad Yazid Hidup and Jessamine Yee emerged winners in their categories at the inaugural Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) Challenge 2023 organised by the Brunei Adventure Recreation Association (BARA) at The Vertical, Batu Bersurat on Sunday.
In the men’s category, Ahmad Yazid bagged the gold medal after accumulating 17 points and delivered the fastest time of the challenge with a dizzying 0:48.64s, while Haji Hafizh Khalid took silver with 17 points and at 1:06.68s. Bronze was jointly shared by Izzat Murad (1:00.63s), and Azim Alidin (1:02.48s), with both participants awarded 17 points.
Meanwhile, in the women’s category, Jessamine took gold after finishing the challenge with 17 points and an impressive 1:18.26s. Leng May Low won silver with 17 points and 1:52.19s
Afiqah Haji Hanap and Sofiyah Saifulizan claimed bronze with the former amassing 15 points and a time of 3:19.29s and the latter managing 14 points and 3:58.77s. – Fadhil Yunus
