In conjunction with the upcoming Under-20 National Youth League, Wijaya FC held a presentation ceremony to provide the under-20 football team with sports equipment at the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) auditorium recently.
Wijaya FC Head Coach Pengiran Haji Malik said, “This is an opportunity for the selected players to harness their talents in playing a competitive football match.”
He continued, “The development of the technical and physical needs of football plus playing as a team especially in the aspects of competition, social maturity and teamwork.”
The coach thanked the players for their hard work during the training sessions.
The club emphasises the importance of self-discipline, knowledge in football, character building and the minimum technical standard to play in the youth league.
On the strength of the management and coaching team, the head coach appreciated the cohesiveness of the members in working as a team, their dedication and sacrifices and hoped that this will continue throughout the tournament beginning June 16.
The head coach also thanked the players for allowing them to play by signing the consent form, of which the contents underline safeguarding issues of players of minor age.
Wijaya Sdn Bhd Football Club Chairman Pengiran Haji Hassan bin Pengiran Haji Yussof was the guest of honour. The club advisor Pengiran Haji Waslimin bin Pengiran Haji Momin was also present.
