Residents in certain areas of the Brunei-Muara district experienced water disruption starting this morning due to emergency repair works prompted by a leak at the Gadong Booster Pump, as reported by the Public Works Department (JKR) on its social media platforms.
The leakage was identified around midnight, with affected areas including parts of Mukim Berakas A, B, and neighboring areas such as Mukim Gadong, as reported by affected residents.
“Immediate repair efforts are underway for the affected pipeline, necessitating the temporary suspension of water supply to certain areas,” stated the department.
To assist residents during the repair period, blue tanks have been stationed at various locations, including the Jubli Perak Mosque in Kampong Jangsak, Kampong Perpindahan Mata-Mata Mosque, Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Serusop, Ash-Shaliheen Mosque near the capital, Pulaie Mosque in Kampong Pulaie, and Kampong Sungai Hanching Mosque in Kampong Sungai Hanching.
