The Women’s Institute of Brunei Darussalam (WI) to mark His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday celebration, handed over breastfeeding covers to the Ministry of Health (MoH) during a ceremony at the VIP Room of the Brunei-Muara District Office.
Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional) at the MoH Dr Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, the guest of honour, received the 78 breastfeeding covers. Co-Chairperson of the Healthy Baby Contest Committee Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali led the handover on behalf of WI.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Pengiran Haji Shahibol Esham bin Pengiran Kamis from the Brunei-Muara District Office.
Speeches were delivered by Dr Hajah Rafidah and Datin Hajah Masni.
Following the handover, Pengiran Haji Shahibol Esham recited the Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Members of the Healthy Baby Contest Committee, representatives from Mazroni Enterprises and officers and staff from the Brunei-Muara District Office were also present. – Lyna Mohamad
