In response to recent letters in the Opinion page regarding the poisoning of stray dogs, I would like to know why it is becoming such a common occurrence.
In Islam, we believe that these animals get one life in this world, and it is up to us to decide how they should be treated. Why are these killings taken so lightly? Why is there no harsh punishment for such cruelty?
