Whole-of-nation approach to ensure stability

The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) will continue to employ the whole-of-government and whole-of-nation approach to ensure the continuity of peace, stability and prosperity in Brunei Darussalam.

Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) cum RBAF 61st anniversary celebration chairman Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin said this yesterday during a poster handover ceremony to commemorate RBAF’s 61st anniversary on May 31, 2022. The event was held at the Bolkiah Garrison.

“To realise this aspiration, the RBAF will continue to develop both its capacity and capability. We will enhance skills and maintain a high level of professionalism to uphold our credibility as a respected military force and strong partner for a safe nation. The RBAF will continue to prepare itself in all aspects of defence, particularly defence diplomacy,” he said.

With peace and stability being pre-requisites to national development, Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin said, “They are of the highest priority, with no room for compromise. Each party has his respective duties and responsibilities to maintain stability and to safeguard the peace in the Sultanate.”

The anniversary celebration carries the theme ‘Together in Accomplishing the National Vision’, aligning perfectly with the National Day theme ‘Menjayakan Wawasan Negara.’

Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin handed over 300 anniversary posters to public relations officers as well as representatives from ministries, government departments, RBAF units, and members of the Ex-Soldiers Association of Brunei Darussalam (PBPNBD).

The poster distribution heralds the approach of the 61st anniversary celebration, with a grand parade scheduled to be held behind closed doors at the RBN Muara Base at the end of the month.

The public can catch the live broadcast of the ceremony on the Radio Television Brunei (RTB) TV channels or the RTB Go application.
