The Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM) received three wheelchairs from BLIA Volunteers yesterday.
BLIA Volunteers President Ang Kian Ching handed the wheelchairs to MKM President Yusof Halim.
“We have been assisting MKM for many years in their charitable projects to help the needy in Brunei,” Ang said.
Yusof Halim informed that MKM runs continuous and varied charity projects to help the needy in Brunei.
“We have around 400 families in our care and some of them have mobility issues. Any assistance from the public for the projects we run are most welcome,” he said.
BLIA Volunteers Advisor Foo Jong Wah, MKM Vice President Hajah Johana binti Haji Jaya, MKM former president Datin Paduka Hajah Intan binti Haji Mohd Kassim, and MKM executive council member Zubaidah binti Dato Paduka Abu Zar were also present.
MKM is a registered society wholly dedicated to charitable works and is solely dependent on public donations to run its many charitable projects.
