In our Page 5 news article titled ‘Energy sector targets nearly 23,000 for local employment’ yesterday, the second paragraph should have read, “In addition, in-country value in the oil and gas sector accounted for 60 per cent of total expenditure, equivalent to BND1.79 billion’, while the eighth paragraph should have read “To increase the capacity of local companies, the ministry is the leader of the i-Usahawan programme in the energy sector and created employment opportunities for 317 locals and with a total contract value of BND30 million, and not as stated.

Meanwhile, in our news article titled ‘Driving local workforce, private sector’ also on Page 5, the third paragraph should have read: ”He said the MTIC through the Authority for Info-Communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darusslam (AITI) implemented the Coding.bn programme specifically to upgrade the programming skills of graduates looking for employment. “Alhamdullilah, the first cohort of Coding.bn concluded in September 2021 with 59 participants.”
