The Community Development Department (JAPEM) in collaboration with Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah on Tuesday held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for the residents/occupants of the Welfare Home Complex (KRK) in conjunction with Nuzul Al-Quran celebration for 1445 Hijrah.
Thirty-four officers and staff participated in the ceremony at An-Naura Hall, Yayasan Complex. Meanwhile, 19 residents/occupants of KRK also participated.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad and his spouse Datin Hajah Binanun binti Haji Bungsu were present.
Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak as Yayasan Acting Managing Director, permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), senior officials of the MCYS and Acting Director of JAPEM Fauziah binti Haji Mohd Salleh as the Chairperson of the ceremony were also present. – James Kon
