The Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department (BDMD) has issued a three-day weather forecast and advisory, warning of hazardous sea conditions and the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms.
The forecast, issued on December 31, 2024 by the Weather Forecast Centre, predicts variable weather patterns across the region.
Tuesday’s temperature is expected to range between 24°C and 30°C, with similar conditions anticipated for the following days.
Showers or thundery showers are expected early in the morning, late in the afternoon, and at night. Winds will primarily come from the southwest or northwest at speeds of 10 to 30 km/h.
The sea state is expected to remain slight to moderate, with wave heights between 0.8 and 1.4 metres. However, the BDMD has issued an advisory warning that current sea conditions are hazardous for all small boats, recreational activities, and marine sports.
Residents and visitors are advised to take necessary precautions, particularly those engaging in marine activities or travelling by small boats.
