The Wisdom Bowls Club (WBC) Brunei Darussalam will be sending four pairs’ teams to take part in the Sabah Pairs Lawn Bowl Championships in Keningau, Sabah from October 5 to 8.
WBC is among the 60 teams that will be taking part in the competition. The club will field three players who recently took part in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham earlier this year.
Recently, WBC President Johari Awang Achee visited the team’s training and final preparations and subsequently presented financial contributions to the players as part of their expenses throughout the competition.
The team, which will be guided by WBC Head Coach Haji Abdul Ghafar bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laksamana Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Taha and led by WBC Deputy President Ampuan Hajah Lili Maryani Ampuan Haji Salleh, will leave the country on October 3.
