Water disruptions in a number of areas are expected as repair works are carried out for a transmission pipe measuring 500 millimetres (mm) in Kampong Suran, Tutong District, said the Public Works Department (JKR). The replacement work began yesterday at 2pm.
Locations along Jalan Enche Awang, Kuala Tutong, Kampong Serambangun, Kampong Lubok Pulau, Kampong Keriam up to Kampong Bangsinggong in the Tutong District and its vicinity, especially on higher grounds, will experience low water pressure or no supply, said the JKR.
The agency has also provided blue water tanks to affected areas including Kampong Serambangun Community Hall, Sungai Tutong Jetty, Gerai Persatuan Pesaka in Kampong Keriam and Kampong Penabai Mosque.
Meanwhile, residents in RPN Kampong Lumut Phase 1 and 2 and its surrounding areas will also experience water supply disruptions, especially on higher grounds due to maintenance works on RPN Kampong Lumut Water Tank 2 outlet pipe measuring 300mm, which will run from today at 8.30am until completion. The department also seeks the cooperation of all to be frugal in water consumption, adding that clean water supply tankers can be requested through Darussalam Line 123.
