The Public Works Department (JKR) at the Ministry of Development announced that there will be an installation of circuit breaker at the Raw Water Pump Station Stage 4 & 5 of Bukit Barun Water Treatment Plant today from 9am to 1pm.
The four-hour work will lead to a reduction in water production, resulting in disruptions and low water pressure in some areas, particularly those on higher ground.
The affected areas include Kampong Batong, Kampong Masin, RPN Kampong Perpindahan Lugu, Jalan Pasir Berakas, RPN Kampong Lambak Kanan, Mukim Lumapas, Mukim Pengkalan Batu, Kampong Subok, Kampong Belimbing and surrounding areas.
The department assured the public that water supply will return to normal as soon as possible. JKR urged the public to conserve water and to contact Darussalam Line 123 for water supply through tankers.
