The event started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by the detachment of badges and a photo session.

Brunei Darussalam has been involved in the UNIFIL peacekeeping mission since 2008 which aligns with Brunei Darussalam’s support in upholding the United Nation’s three main pillars – Peace and Security, Human Rights and Development.

MinDef in a press release said the RBAF remains committed to contributing to regional and international peace and stability, as part of its commitment towards global peace and security. On October 2022, 30 RBAF personnel embedded under the MALBATT 850-9 have flown to Lebanon to succeed their predecessors.
