Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) welcomed 1,828 new students during its orientation week at its campuses from August 1-3.
Some 31 programmes were offered for the August 2023/2024 academic session comprising a diploma programme, 30 HNTec programmes, 19 NTec programmes and four Industrial Skills Qualification (ISQ) programmes.
The orientation week began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by an oath from the Student Council.
It continued with a briefing for parents and new students to assist them in recognising and understanding the rules and regulation of IBTE campuses and their facilities as well as the learning system.
The orientation week was filled with activities as well as talks from government agencies.
The three-day orientation concluded with religious events.
The main orientation will be held at the International Convention Centre, Berakas on August 9.
