Warm welcome for 115 new students

Tutong Sixth Form Centre (PTET) recently welcomed 115 new student intakes for the 2025/2026 session during a three-day orientation event.

The event began with the singing of the national anthem, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat. The new students also participated in an oath-taking ceremony.

To familiarise the new students with the sixth form centre’s vision and mission, several briefings were conducted.

These included a welcome speech by PTET Principal Muhd Shahnofazli bin Haji Sabli, an academic briefing by PTET Deputy Principal (Academic) Koo Keung Eng, an administration briefing by PTET Deputy Principal (Administration) Haji Azrin bin Haji Bolhassan and a PTET Parent-Teacher Association briefing delivered by Deputy Chairman Haji Rosaimi bin Haji Abdul Manaf.

The event continued with briefings from school representatives, covering topics such as students’ welfare, discipline, the block system, facilities and fire drills, examinations, personal studies, SBV35, the Hubbul Al-Quran programme, co-curricular activities, counselling and a sharing session by upper sixth students.

A school tour led by the student leaders and a library tour followed by a briefing by PTET librarians, were also conducted. – James Kon
