Wan Sing Trading booked their spot in the final of the Low San Men Open after beating Anta Brunei 74-62 in a highly explosive match at the Brunei Basketball Association Court in Batu Bersurat yesterday night.
Wan Sing captain Kenny Lim led by example with a 20-game display with Venilson Lico contributing a haul of 14 points and Joven Dungog chipping in with 11
After a slow start, Anta looked to have staged a recovery as Choo Yung Jian intercepted a loose ball and recorded two points to follow up with his three-point conversion.
However, Kenny showed accuracy with his shooting as he downed consecutive three-pointers to extend his team’s lead with Matt Jerickson also making the same move with back-to-back three pointers.
As the second quarter approached, Wan Sing had enjoyed a 11-point lead before closing the first stanza with a 26-13 scoreline.
