Myanmar Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam U Htin Lynn shared his experiences in multilateral diplomacy, the history of the former United Nations (UN) secretary-general U Thant of Myanmar and the bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Myanmar to a delegation comprising local youth and interns at the Legislative Council (LegCo) during a courtesy call yesterday.

The group was led by LegCo member Yang Berhormat Khairunnisa binti Haji Ash’ari.

The event also saw a presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session and a group photo. The delegation also had a taste of a Myanmar traditional dish mont-hin-ga or rice noodle dish with fish soup.

The Myanmar Ambassador had served as a Myanmar permanent representative to the UN Office and other international organisations in Geneva, where he served three times in his diplomatic career, before his appointment as the Myanmar ambassador to the Sultanate.
