Twelve volunteers from Network Integrity Assurance Technologies Sdn Bhd (NiAT) recently participated in a gotong-royong activity to clean two Muslim cemeteries – Kampong Kupang and Kampong Baong in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
NiAT volunteers started at the Kampong Kupang Muslim Cemetery by clearing up the debris, trimming overgrown bushes, cutting dead branches, and clearing trash before proceeding to Kampong Baong Muslim Cemetery.
Cleaning equipment and stools were donated to both cemeteries for future use of the village residents.
Member of Legislative Council (LegCo) Yang Berhormat Zainol bin Haji Mohamed in his capacity as the Kampong Putat Village Head and Village Consultative Council (MPK) member Maidi bin Haji Lamat and Haji Rasadi bin Samit also participated in the event.
The event is part of NiAT’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to give back to the local community and encourage its employees to participate in charitable activities.
