Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (BKISHHB) recently received a visit from 45 Community Development Department (JAPEM) Welfare Home Complex residents.
The visitors, comprising 23 male and 22 female, were accompanied by JAPEM officials and staff. The group toured all nine galleries at BKISHHB.
The visit was aimed at increasing the residents’ knowledge on Islamic history and expose them to Islamic calligraphy and scholars.
BKISHHB’s galleries were open to the public since December 12 from 9am to 5pm daily except on Fridays.
The exhibitions include Mushaf collections of various shapes and sizes, pieces of burdah, Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) hair, replicas of Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) footprints, swords and staves, collections of Islamic manuscripts, Islamic astronomical equipment, staves, rosaries and fossils.
