Visit leaves students more informed on cyber security

A group of 28 students pursuing a Higher National Diploma in Computing and lecturers from Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology (CCCT) made an educational visit to Cyber Security Brunei (CSB) on Thursday.

CCCT lecturer Dennis Tanjusay led the students. During the visit, the students gained insights into the national cyber security agency’s operations with an introduction into CSB’s core services namely Brunei Computer Emergency Response Team (BruCERT), Cyber Watch Centre (CWC), and the National Digital Forensics Laboratory (NDFL).

The students also visited NDFL where they observed how Digital Forensic Analysts carefully collect electronic evidence with the use of advanced tools and learnt how hard drives can be safely erased and destroyed.
