The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) delegation’s official visit, at a personal invitation of the President of Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) Yasser Misehall, will open a path for both sides in strengthening relations and increasing commitment and cooperation in various aspects that lead to football progress, technical, skill and exchange of officials.
The delegation, led by FABD President Haji Feisal bin Haji Eusoff Patail, will meet with the SAFF president, hold a series of discussions and meetings with SAFF friends as well as observing SAFF football infrastructure and SAFF’s grassroots football development.
The FABD president said FABD-SAFF will share effective strategies to elevate the development of the football scene.
He also said the meetings will give valuable results to the country through SAFF’s commitment to help the inclusive development of the Sultanate’s national football team.
SAFF reiterated that the visit is an opportunity for FABD to learn from Saudi Arabia’s experience of achieving outstanding football success in a short period of time.
Among SAFF major achievements in football is winning the Asian Football Championship (AFC) three times and having advanced to the FIFA World Cup six times. SAFF has made progress in football and has shown interest in sharing their knowledge and experience with Brunei. – Azlan Othman
