Some 20 members of Kampong Mentiri Mosque takmir committee members and village consultative council yesterday organised a Khatam Al-Quran. Kampong Mentiri Village Head Haji Bujang bin Sabtu also participated.
The village head led the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah while imam Pengiran Mohammad Alhukman bin Pengiran Haji Sabri led the recitation of Surah-Surah Lazim and Takhtim.
The gathering was held to enliven the mosque and to forge closer ties among mosque congregants and to attract more Ummah to the mosque.
The event concluded after the reading of 30 Juzuk of Al-Quran after the Subuh prayers. – Azlan Othman
