Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong said village heads have assisted in the logistics in food ration distributions, where volunteers have a hard time locating the addresses in the nation’s fight against COVID-19.
He added that they also play an important role in assisting with the mobile vaccination programmes for those entitled in their villages.
Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar said village heads will assist the government in the distribution of free ART kits to families in their villages who are entitled under the National Welfare System (SKN).
Meanwhile, the movement restrictions order is continuously being looked into from time to time, said Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah responding to queries on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
“At this point, the restrictions that are in place – stay at home between midnight and 4am – is still in force,” he said when asked whether the restrictions will be revised.
