HANOI (XINHUA) – Vietnam’s information technology (IT) outsourcing could generate USD880 million by 2028, with an annual growth rate of 16.38 per cent, Vietnam News reported yesterday, citing an official.
It was estimated that the Vietnam’s outsourcing market reached a value of nearly USD698 million in 2024.
Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry under the Ministry of Information and Communications Nguyen Thien Nghia said Vietnam’s biggest advantage in global markets was its affordable and high-quality workforce.
Vietnamese IT engineers’ salaries are only about one 10th of the global average, yet their work quality is highly regarded, he said.
Vietnam has consistently appeared in top 10 global outsourcing providers over the past two years.
