HANOI (XINHUA) – Vietnam earned about USD6.6 billion from fruit and vegetable export in the first 11 months of 2024, realising the yearly target ahead of schedule, Vietnam News Agency cited the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development yesterday.

This year’s export target was set at USD6 billion to USD6.5 billion.

According to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetables Association, the country’s fruit and vegetable exports recorded double-digit growth in many markets over the past 11 months.

The strongest growth was reported in Thailand, South Korea, Germany, Canada, China and the United States.

The association’s general secretary Dang Phuc Nguyen said the industry was predicted to set a new record of USD7.2 billion in export turnover in 2024.
