HANOI (XINHUA) – Vietnam posted an estimated foreign trade value of USD497.64 billion in the first eight months of this year, up 15.5 per cent year-on-year, with a trade surplus of USD3.96 billion, the General Statistics Office said yesterday.
Specifically, the export revenue stood at USD250.8 billion, up 17.3 per cent, while the import revenue increased 13.6 per cent year-on-year to USD246.84 billion.
The United States remained Vietnam’s biggest importer with turnovers of USD77.7 billion, and China was its largest exporter with turnovers of USD82.1 billion over the period, according to the office.
