Vietnamese PM visits UBD, plants sapling

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chính and spouse Lê Thi Bích Trân visited Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) yesterday as part of their official two-day visit to the country.

They observed a Vietnamese language class and an online English teaching class with UBD-FPT Global Centre in Da Nang, Viet Nam.

The delegation was welcomed by Acting Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman and spouse; and UBD Vice-Chancellor Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle.

Minister of Development as Minister-in-Attendance Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid and spouse; Ambassador of Viet Nam to Brunei Darussalam Tran Văn Khoa and spouse; and Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Viet Nam Datin Paduka Malai Hajah Halimah binti Malai Haji Yussof were also present.

The prime minister signed UBD’s guestbook and presented a donation of 100 books to the university.

The Vietnamese prime minister also visited UBD Botanical Research Centre (UBD BRC), where he planted a Cotylelobium burckii F Heim to mark the visit.
