The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, through the Community Development Department (JAPEM), handed over financial assistance from the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam through the allocation of funds under the department to recipients at the ministry on Saturday.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad handed over the financial assistance to Suhaimi bin Haji Damit @ Abdul Hamid, whose house was flooded on August 28; and Hajah Amit binti Abbas, whose house in Kampong Burong Pingai Ayer collapsed on September 25. No injuries were reported in both incidents.
