Some 13 Veterans Association of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (PERWIRA) members left for Manila, the Philippines yesterday to attend the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC) 35th Executive Board Meeting and the 22nd General Assembly.
The group is led by PERWIRA President Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Ramli bin Abdul Hadis.
The VECONAC executive board meeting and general assembly are held annually in member countries on a rotational basis.
This year it is hosted by the Philippines.
The general assembly will be held at the Sofitel Plaza Hotel, Manila from tomorrow to November 30.
