The Belait District’s BSRC Veteran football team and Youngster Veteran FC competed in a friendly match to enhance healthy and closer ties among players at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) on Sunday.
The match was held as a preparation for the veteran football tournament to be held in Penang, Malaysia in March.
Established in the 80s, the two teams have actively competed in domestic and overseas tournaments.
Before the start of the match, former captain of BSRC Veteran Haji Idris bin Haji Jaafar welcomed Youngster Veteran FC to the match.
Along with the founder of Youngster Veteran FC Dr Haji Kamaruddin bin Dato Seri Paduka Haji Talib, they presented donations to some Youngster FC (YFC) players affected by house fire. – Daniel Lim
