Vendors set up their drink and food stalls along the street to cater to participants and spectators joining the 76th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday in the capital.
Jasmin said he would set up his stall for every celebration in Bandar Seri Begawan, especially His Majesty’s birthday.
“I am grateful to His Majesty that national celebrations provide an opportunity for us vendors to make an income,” Jasmin said.
Bigger companies like bruneihalalfoods and Afico Trading Company Sdn Bhd took the opportunity to give back to the community by giving out free drinks.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf distributed up to 800 servings of iced tea under their Caring Cup initiative to participants and spectators.
