Various channels for DES information, says agency

The Department of Electrical Services (DES) would like to refer to a letter, ‘Transparency vital in digital future’, published in the Opinion page of the Bulletin on February 15.

DES thanks Work Interrupted for raising the concern and apologises for any inconvenience caused to the writer and all affected customers.

DES would also like to inform the public that information on planned maintenance works that require the temporary closure of power supply are continuously updated through its social media accounts – desbrunei on Facebook and @desbrunei on Instagram. The information can also be found on the DES website and Radio Television Brunei (RTB) radio channels, as well as obtainable from penghulus and village heads in all districts.

DES would like to highlight that planned maintenance works are essential to provide a stable power supply to the public, and temporary supply interruptions associated with the works are necessary to ensure safety of the workers.

In cases of unplanned supply interruptions, DES seeks cooperation from the public to immediately notify Darussalam Line 123 to enable the agency to respond accordingly and in a timely manner.
