ANN/THE KOREA HERALD – V from renowned K-pop group BTS recently unveiled a striking music video for his song Blue featured in his inaugural solo album Layover.

This mesmerising release marks the fourth music video from the album, promising an emotive journey for fans.

In a deliberate artistic choice, the music video captivates viewers in a monochromatic world.

Big Hit Music, the label behind BTS, explained that this black-and-white aesthetic was meticulously crafted to envelop the video in an enduring sense of melancholy, emphasising the depth of emotions portrayed.

At the beginning of the music video, V appears talking on the phone with a worried face while driving. He then wanders around desperately looking for someone.

Blue is an R&B track with modern sounds of deep bass and drums, which together accentuate the artiste’s vocals.

Meanwhile, V is set to drop the music video of For Us, another of the five tracks from his new album, soon.

Layover conveys a new side of V, as the artiste tried to fill it with his own ideas and music fitting his personal taste. He is scheduled to promote his first solo album via YouTube and with various TV appearances. – Hong Yoo
