Upcoming business forum sponsors ink MoU

A memorandum of understanding for sponsorship for the upcoming Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCC) first public business forum, was officially inked at a ceremony at the CCC office in the capital yesterday.

CCC President Lim Han Chiong signed for the chamber, while DST chief executive officer (CEO) Radin Sufri bin Radin Basiuni signed for DST; Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Head of Business Banking and Mortgage Specialist Tan Chee Boon signed for SCB; and Baiduri Bank Deputy CEO of Group Treasurer and Institutional Banking Pengiran Azaleen bin Pengiran Dato Haji Mustapha signed for the bank.

Meanwhile, chief operating officer Jeffrey Sim represented Archipelago Group, Commercial Manager Clement Lai represented Heidelberg Materials and Founder Shaun Hoon represented Curious Mind. The business forum is designed to address the unique challenges and opportunities that small and medium-sized enterprises face in the Sultanate, focusing on collaboration, digital technology and international trade.

It will feature a keynote address by Asia Inc Forum Chairman Dato Timothy Ong, as well as panel discussions with Lim Han Chiong; Acting Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) CEO Daniel Leong; President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam Haji Abdul Saman bin Haji Ahmad; and Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce Haji Shazali bin Dato Haji Sulaiman as panellists.

Also expected to join the panel are President of Young Entrepreneurs Association Brunei Chai Li Goh, senior executives from DST and SCB, and a senior representative of CCC.

Ted Tan from Enterprise Singapore will also deliver a Singapore case study on succeeding through collaboration. – Lyna Mohamad
