Unified National Networks (UNN) reached another milestone after receiving the Global Business Outlook (GBO) Award 2022 for Best Telecom Infrastructure Service Provider in Brunei Darussalam during the 8th Annual Global Business Outlook Award ceremony in January 2023 and was nominated for the Best Digital Transformation Initiatives of 2022.
UNN Chief Executive Officer Dr Steffen Oehler said that the award recognises the company’s efforts for delivering high-quality digital connectivity and motivates them to deliver high-quality customer experience and sustainable business for the company present and future.
The GBO Awards recognises and rewards exceptional companies’ achievements and their creativity, innovation, and contributions both domestically and globally.
UNN has consistently provided everyone to have access to high-quality network and services.
The company has successfully rolled out fibre to 92 per cent of households in Brunei, mobile services nationwide were successfully transformed to be 5G-ready and supported the country’s to adopt quickly to a digital nation during the pandemic.
Brunei is currently number one in ASEAN mobile Internet connection, number 10 in global mobile Internet connection, according to Ookla’s Global Median Speed Reports.
