University workshop aims to provide agricultural guidance

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Centre for Leadership and Lifelong Learning in collaboration with Faculty of Agriculture organised a workshop titled ‘Agritalk: Enhancing Crop-Soil Interactions for Sustainable Agricultural Efficiency’ last Wednesday.

The workshop commenced with remarks from Dean of Faculty of Agriculture Dr Cristalina Jalil Marsal, followed by a talk delivered by Head of Ibnu Sina Laboratory Centre Professor Dr Ahmed Osumanu Haruna as the facilitator.

The workshop is a continuation of the ‘Agritalk’ series conducted in June.

Also present during the workshop was the faculty’s Head of Postgraduate Programmes Professor Dr Ahmed Jalal Khan Chowdhury and Head of Undergraduate Programme Muhammad Khairul Hidayatullah bin Haji Basir.

The workshop was attended by officers and staff from government and private agencies, youth and interested individuals.

The programme aimed to provide guidance to farmers and related agencies pertaining to modern agriculture affairs and provide practical knowledge and expertise in modern agriculture.
