University signs MoU with logistics firm for research, training collaborations

Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and Go Rush Express signed a memorandum of understanding on development of collaborations as well as providing internship opportunities for UBD students.

The agreement also has Go Rush Express offer six annual positions to UBD graduates specialising in logistics and supply chain, marketing, finance and information technology.

The collaboration aims to establish a foundation for cooperation in research, education and
training programmes.

Managing Director of Go Rush Express Danny Chua emphasised the critical role of logistics in national development. “In Brunei Darussalam, the logistics sector is acknowledged as a cornerstone for national economic stability and expansion,” he said.

UBD Vice-Chancellor Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle said, “This partnership will not only focus on technical skills but also on nurturing critical skills required for future jobs, such as leadership, resilience, innovation, creativity and complex problem-solving.”  – James Kon
