Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Strategic Planning and Development Office (PPPS) recently held the second series of Strategic Plan Preparation Retreat at its Gadong campus.
The retreat, attended by UNISSA’s executive officers and key officers, gave members the opportunity to examine and discuss the drafted plan of the UNISSA Strategic Plan Preparation Committee which began in September last year.
The new strategic plan aims to be a source of reference and guidance for UNISSA as an Islamic university both nationally and globally.
The event was carried out in a discussion format led by Director of the PPPS at UNISSA Dr Muhamad Alif bin Haji Sismat.
UNISSA Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal highlighted the importance of re-assessing the shortcomings in the 2019-2023 strategic plan in drafting a new plan, in line with Brunei Vision 2035 and Maqasid Syariah, to make the Sultanate a Zikir nation. – Azlan Othman
