Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s (UBD) Spiritual and Community Service Unit (SCSU) is organising a charity bazaar and other events to support the Palestinian cause.
The charity bazaar, from December 11 to today and December 18 to 21, offers second-hand items at UBD’s Student Centre.
Other charity bazaars will be from January 2 to 5, 2024 at Chancellor Hall lobby; January 10, 2024 at Pro-Chancellor Arts Centre; and January 9 to 12, 2024 at CLT foyer and Student Centre. The charity festival at Pro-Chancellor Arts Centre on January 10, 2024 and a roadshow from January 11 to 16, 2024 will feature primary and secondary schools in the Brunei-Muara District.
A motivational talk and a leadership workshop will be held on January 10, 2024.
The project is aimed at instilling a sense of care, empathy and sympathy among UBD staff and students as well as the public to the Palestinians and collect funds for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023. – Rokiah Mahmud
