Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) held an International Day to celebrate the university’s international students on Saturday.
The event themed, ‘Sehati Sejiwa Al-Wafidun’, saw cultural exhibits by students from China, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore and Thailand, showcasing their cultural attire, foods and traditional games.
The international students also attended a sharing session held by speakers Mardhiah binti Rozalan from Singapore, Mohamed Kouda from Togo and Faisol from Thailand.
The event aimed to celebrate the diverse cultures and backgrounds, as well as foster ties between international and local students of the university.
UNISSA Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal was the guest of honour. – Rokiah Mahmud
