Camping at recreational park
A group of 25 campers from Brunei Campers took part in a four-day camping event at Muara Beach Recreational Park in celebration of Brunei Darussalam’s 41st National Day recently.
The camping event, organised by Geng Healing Bergumbira (GHB), aimed to foster patriotism among the participants while strengthening family and social bonds through leisure and recreational activities.
The campers engaged in outdoor activities that promoted a healthy lifestyle, teamwork and a meaningful camping experience. The participants enjoyed the serene and well-maintained campsite.
The organisers expressing satisfaction with the event, highlighted its role in reinforcing national pride and community spirit.

Donations for the underprivileged
The Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BRC) organised the Ikhlas Project to support underprivileged and needy asnaf for the upcoming Ramadhan, coinciding with Brunei Darussalam’s 41st National Day celebrations.
The initiative allows the public to donate essential food items, with a drive-through collection starting at BRC’s headquarters. The donations included rice, sugar, oil, instant noodles, mineral water, flour, canned food, biscuits, coffee, tea and eggs.
The aid aims to help the underprivileged fulfil their fasting obligations.
This year, BRC’s Humanitarian Aid Action Body coordinated distributions to the poor and needy asnaf and asnaf muallaf under the Islamic Da’wah Centre in the first week of Ramadhan.

Special 41-kilometre ride
A group of 20 riders, comprising Honda Btop Motors customers, embarked on a special 41-kilometre ride to commemorate Brunei Darussalam’s 41st National Day.
The convoy set off from the Honda Btop Motors showroom, covering a route that took them through key locations, including Jerudong Park, over to Mentiri, the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge, Kampong Kota Batu and a pit stop at Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas. The ride continued through Kampong Kumbang Pasang and concluded in Gadong Central.
The riders received a safety briefing from the marshalls and recited Al-Fatihah before the ride. – Fadley Faisal

Tahlil and Doa Arwah
The Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’ Village Consultative Council and its Women’s Bureau held a celebration for Brunei Darussalam’s 41st National Day yesterday. The event included a tahlil and Doa Arwah ceremony.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Zainol bin Haji Mohamed and his spouse attended the event.
Acting Village Head of Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’ Abdul Razak bin Haji Ismail and his spouse, Penghulu of Mukim Sengkurong ‘B’ Dr Haji Abdullah Hanif bin OKMD Haji Saman, Women’s Bureau of Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’ Village Consultative Council Chairlady Hajah Rukiah binti Haji Mohd Yassin and its Deputy Chairlady Hajah Azizah binti Haji Mirasan were among those present.
