A delegation from Universiti Islam Negeri Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq (UINKHAS)in Indonesia, led by its rector, Professor Dr Hepni, recently visited Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), hosted by UNISSA Rector Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal and the university’s core officers.
The visit aimed to strengthen academic ties between the two institutions, focusing on Islamic economics and finance as well as to support UNISSA’s goal to expand its international cooperation network with higher education institutions regionally and globally.
During the visit, discussions were held between UNISSA’s Faculty of Islamic Economics and Finance (FEKIm) and UINKHAS’s Faculty of Islamic Business and Economics (FEBI).
The faculties also addressed current issues and challenges in Islamic economics and finance, and the sustainability of Islamic education worldwide.
A knowledge-sharing session featured UINKHAS Professor Dr Hepni and Professor Dr M Khusna Amal on ‘Enhancing Perpetual Sustainability in Islamic Higher Education Institutions through Islamic Finance and Islamic Management’.
The session highlighted the integration of Islamic finance and management principles to strengthen institutional positions and their broader societal impact. – Rokiah Mahmud
