Three students from the Faculty of Islamic Development Management (FPPI), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) won second place in the ‘Best Presentation’ category for the Economics Advancement – Sunan competition Kalijaga 3.0 (SEA-SUKA 3.0) organised by Sunan Kalijaga University Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
The competition, themed ‘Halal Industry Development to Achieve sustainable development Goals (SDGs)’ was held on May 30-31.
The group’s paper ‘Managing Halal Recreation System for Quality of Life and Ecosystem in Brunei Darussalam’ discussed the management of Halal recreation in the Sultanate to achieve quality of life while achieving the SDGs.
Some 12 groups from Indonesia and two groups from Brunei Darussalam advanced to the semi-finals. The winners were selected based on the presentation structure, creativity, use of language as well as the analysis methodology of the study.
Prizes in the form of a trophy and cash as well as the SEA-SUKA 3.0 mascot were presented by Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Economy and Business UIN Sunan Kalijaya Yogyakarta Associate Professor Dr Afdawaiza.
