UNISSA, Qatar University joining forces

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) continues to seek cooperation in the field of academics and research with foreign higher learning institutions.

In view of this, UNISSA and Qatar University inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the Administration Building of Qatar University on May 24.

UNISSA Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal and Qatar University President Dr Hassan Rashid Al-Derham signed the MoU.

Prior to the signing, the president briefed the delegates on the history and programmes offered at Qatar University, as well as its developments achieved since its inception in 1973.

The signing serves as a platform towards further collaborative plans, especially in student exchange and specialisation in Arabic as well as the publication of scientific material from UNISSA and Qatar University professionals.

Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Qatar Haji Mohamed Bahrin bin Dato Paduka Haji Abu Bakar, Deputy President (Student Affairs) of Qatar University Dr Eiman Mustafawi, Acting Assistant Rector (International and Service) at UNISSA Dr Haji Hambali bin Haji Jaili and key Qatar University official also attended the MoU signing ceremony.
