    UNISSA forges collaboration with Johor university

    Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) continues to collaborate with foreign educational institutions in research, publication, staff and student mobility as well as the empowerment of zakat and waqaf agendas.

    The latest is the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Universiti Technology Mara (UiTM) in Johor, Malaysia at the Senate Room, UNISSA campus, Gadong.

    Signing on behalf of UNISSA was its acting rector Dr Hajah Lilly Suzana binti Haji Shamsu, while on behalf of UiTM was its rector Associate Professor Dr Saunah Zainon.

    Following the signing of the MoA, there was a mini international seminar on Islamic philanthropy themed ‘Towards Sustainability of Muslim Philanthropy Fund’ by four presenters from UiTM and four presenters from UNISSA in the hope that the essay will be published.

    Meanwhile, UNISSA, through the Office of Career Advancement and Industrial Networking (OCeAN), in collaboration with Rakan Umat and the Women Graduates Association of Brunei Darussalam, held a ‘Kembara Ilmu’ programme at the university premises.

    Sixty-nine people attended the programme that saw a presentation on ‘Creativity and Quality Innovation in the Success of small and medium enterprises (SMEs)’ by senior lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Datin Dr Hajah Mazita binti Mokhtar and by psychological officer and counsellor at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Paridah binti Mohd Ali ‘Emotional Management: We Are the Same Destination.’ – Azlan Othman
