Six locals are attending the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Brunei-Japan Maritime Safety Exchange in Japan.
The programme begins today, and aims to deepen the knowledge of Japanese maritime safety. The participants from the Prime Minister’s Office will be in Japan for seven days.
The programme includes briefings by the Japan Coast Guard and the Japanese Fisheries Agency. The participants will also visit places of interest in Japan.
Yesterday, participants were seen off by Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam Maeda Toru. The Japanese Embassy in Brunei Darussalam hopes that the programme will be a rewarding experience and promote a deeper understanding of Japan and its work in maritime safety. – Azlan Othman
