Ramadhan is the best time to understand the importance of virtue, imams stressed yesterday in the Friday sermon, adding that the ummah must fast and increase sunnat practices.
During Ramadhan, the imams said, sahur, charity, Tarawih prayer, recitation of Al-Quran, and providing Iftar to others are highly encouraged.
The imams believe sahur blesses and energises fasting while contributing to charity, no matter how much, is recommended.
“During Ramadhan, those who recite Tarawih and expect recompensation from Allah the Almighty will be pardoned,” they said.
“Muslims are encouraged to recite Al-Quran this month at home, at work, and mosques. The ummah are also urged to participate in iftar, or breaking of the fast, with the others,” the imams said.
